There is a steady increase in the use of coconut oil and other natural products for treating different kinds of diseases. It has become a popular alternative medicine that is very useful in various kinds of diseases. As a result of this, there is a growing interest for those who have an interest in learning more about the coconut oil benefits for Alzheimer's patients. There are a number of reasons why people choose natural remedies in place of conventional medicines. The primary reason is that they are believed to be much safer than the drugs that are prescribed by doctors and which may not work. Since most medical trials to develop an Alzheimer's disease drug that gets approved, have so far failed miserably, perhaps the main motivation to research coconut oil for the purpose of knowing how it affects AD was a desire to legally patent a potential new drug that would work quite similar to coconut oil. This is because it has been found out that some ingredients of this type work very well in helping to preserve the memory of people who have suffered from this type of mental disorder. These include medium-chain fatty acids. These acids are also found in breast milk and are thus important for the proper brain development in babies. What medium-chain fatty acids do is they make a person's brain cells more resistant to toxins and hence healthier. This is because these acids help to form what is called ketones. Ketones are known to be very effective in getting rid of the harmful toxins that build up in the human brain as a result of a diet high in meat and fish. However, ketones are also excreted from the body in urine and in the feces. This makes it clear that a certain amount of ketones in the blood would be needed to maintain healthy brain functioning. The problem arises when these fatty acids are excreted from the body in higher concentrations than what is needed. This leads to what is called amyloid plaque. Amyloid plaque deposits on the brain do not wait for any physical trauma or accident to occur before building up. They build up faster at night, as the brain cannot process the protein in sufficient quantities during this time. As a result, the person starts feeling mentally and emotionally beaten down and this is what develops into the formation of dementia. Amyloid plaque builds up slowly over time and affects various parts of the brain. One of the most affected areas is the choroid. This is the part of the brain which is responsible for sending messages from one cell to another in the brain. When the choroid is impacted by amyloid plaque, it is clearly visible as a white or yellowish matter stuck inside the center of the head. This does not only affect the memory of the individual affected, but it also impedes his/her thinking as he/she is unable to properly process information coming from the brain. The only coconut oil ingredient that helps brain cells stay healthy is called medium-chain fatty acids. These medium-chain fatty acids are actually produced naturally within the body and they can be found in the eyes, ears, skin, teeth and nails. The product called Amyloid-C is made from these natural substances. Amyloid-C stabilizes the plaque in the brain, making it more difficult for it to develop and progress. In addition, Amyloid-C improves brain functions by reducing the formation of new brain cells and it improves the efficiency of the brain's metabolic system. An important component of the brain, which is directly linked to the amyloid plaque formation process is an enzyme called Gluconazole. It plays a vital role in the maintenance of brain inflammation. If brain inflammation is present at the onset of dementia, it is almost impossible to prevent because the Gluconazole will effectively destroy the brain cells. So what does this all mean? The conclusion is that coconut oil and other virgin coconut oil products are very effective in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. They are especially effective when it comes to relieving pain, anxiety and depression. Long-term consumption of medium-chain triglycerides has been shown to reduce the risk of Alzheimer's dementia and improve overall brain function. It is not a cure for Alzheimer's, but it could certainly slow down the progression of the disease. Comments are closed.
